Ability to open multiple Items at the same time, with close all items button, or when you have more than 1 db open and you switch, it closes all the items open.

    Please clarify.

    • What "items" are you referring to?
    • What is meant by "switch", i.e. what are you switching?; currently what items are closed when you switch?

not sure of usecase for OP, but I use the built in rtf editor for notes quite a lot (Edit Entry>Advanced>File Attachments>Attach>Create Empty Attachment(Or Open existing ones) and it'll be super handy if i can have more than one of them open (in tabs like sublimetext for bonus points :) ) and still be able to use keepass for 'regular' operation. at the moment you're locked into that one edit window

I'm pretty sure the OP intended multiple Edit Entry windows (for multiple entries, or as he did say, for entries in multiple open databases), not just multiple Data Editor windows for a single entry. Given that there has been no clarification in the three months since this request was received, I suggest that this request be considered as above, and that you file a separate request for multiple Data Editor windows. (However, I wouldn't expect either request to be acted on quickly - and possibly not at all - except as third-party plugins.)

If you need to open or copy and paste items in the same or different databases or entries while simultaneously viewing both open databases, or two entries open in Edit dialogs, uncheck 'Limit to single instance' in Tools>Options>Advanced(tab)>Start and Exit(section) then open the databases in separate workspace instances of KeePass.

Drag and Drop won't work between workspace instances, but copy and paste does.

    • Copy and paste single strings using Ctrl+C & Ctrl+V.
    • Copy and paste entire entries using Ctrl+Shift+C and Ctrl+Shift+V .

Caution: If you edit the entries in two different KeePass instance that are in the same open database copy you can lose edits if you overwrite when you save, and at best, only the most recent set of edits will become the current entries if you synchronize when you save. When you synchronize during a save, the less recent edits aren't lost, but they will end up in the entry's history.
