Running the install package triggers User Account Control in Windows, which shows the Publisher as Unknown. Please sign the package and identify the publisher so new users won't shy away from this program that Microsoft implies is unsafe.
If it's a matter of the cost of obtaining a code signing certificate, I would be willing to help cover some of that cost (or all of it, depending on how much it is).

This has been discussed before and to date the author has declined to make any changes.
