Placeholders and exporting passwords to file/printer
A lightweight and easy-to-use password manager

Hello,
I use Placeholders like {REF:U@I:C767BFFDdffdc4D449AB57F6829290C368} this is very nice. I have a central place to set the password and username and I use it in other entries.
I set the option "Toon dereferentie data" (this is in Dutch) in the userinterface i see the that the link to the other entry is valid. He displays the correct entry. But when I want to export the data to HTML or to the printer he doesn't display the username or password, etz.. from the central entry. He exports the placeholder {REF:U@I:C767BFFDdffdc4D449AB57F6829290C368} key.
Can somebody fix this?
Best regards,
Ralph Gielkens.
This is the expected behavior. The dereferencing option only applies to the main window (this is why it is in the 'Entry List' option group), not exports. In general, references should be exported (not dereferenced data), in order to allow lossless exports/imports.
However, an option in the 'Print' dialog for dereferencing data would be a good idea. Moving to open feature requests.
Thanks and best regards,
Dominik
Thanks for the response.
Ticket moved from /p/keepass/bugs/1277/
I've now added an option 'Resolve field references' in the 'Print' / HTML export dialog.
Here's the latest development snapshot for testing:
