    First one or two characters lost during auto-type in Edge browser. Works fine in IE 11 and Chrome with same entry. It almost seems like the auto-type starts then backspaces and starts again, but it happens too fast to tell for sure.
    Any ideas????

    Are you sure that the problem is related to Edge and not the website, or the website on Edge? KeePass auto-type seems to work fine form me with Edge at sites like Amazon.com or http://keepass.info/help/kb/testform.html.

    Most sites appear to work fine, but some, mostly my online banking and financial sites, seem to truncate the first character. The same entry works correctly on IE 11 and Chrome with the same sites, so I assumed it was an Edge issue. Not all sites do this in Edge, only about 10 out of maybe 90-100, so I guess it could be something with the site itself and Edge as the same thing works on these sites in IE 11 and chrome. Maybe Edge is causing some sort of delay where that keypress is not posted right away? It's really odd an inconsistent, so I don't think it is a Keepass thing, but I was hoping that someone had run across this already and had a workaround.

    Try {DELAY=100} in the Auto-Type.

    If the first few characters are being dropped consistently you can try typing some dummy characters then clear the field and type the username e.g.

    12{CLEARFIELD}{USERNAME}{TAB}{PASSWORD}{ENTER}  or
    12{HOME}+{END}{USERNAME}{TAB}{PASSWORD}{ENTER}

    @wellread1 the problem is related to edge
    I have a Surface pro 3 and the same problem manifests itself, however on Chrome or IE it is fine.
    I haven't used it enough to test it certanly happens on the username field, I haven't tested consistenly to check the password field too.

    Thanks so much, wellread1!!!
    The {HOME}+{END} option seemed to make it work just fine. And the same still works in IE11 and chrome. Easy workaround.

    {HOME}+{END} (or {CLEARFIELD}) is also generally useful for websites that remember your username, but where you can still type into the field. If you include it in the auto-type keystroke sequence you don't need to clear the username field before auto-typing and you don't need to make a special password only auto-type.

    Great tip Wellread1
    I've come across that issue many times. It's always had nuisance status in my mind, rather than major problem. But it's really good to have it resolved.
    Shows the value of discussion forums like these. The OP started with one problem and the solution ends up having value elsewhere. Thanks for this.

    Try checking the "Two-channel auto-type obfuscation" on the edit entry page/Auto-type. This worked for me on the banking sites I was having trouble with.

    @Bob Robinson & @wellread1:
    no effect.
    The problem only occurs, if you got more than one expressions for an auto-type entry and you have to choose any of them from the opening window "Auto-type Entry Selection" after typing your global auto-type shortcut. After you choose your entry, keepass types only garbage in edge browser...
    It's the same in all Windows versions: 1511, 1607, 1703

    It seems to be that for the edge browser only one expression is possible, so autotyping will be done directly.

    Now, if you got only one username/password combination and many auto-type entrys for many different locations, where that combination works, it won't auto-type correctly anymore because of the opening window "Auto-type Entry Selection". I have choosed this way of adaption, because changing password was simple if there was only one entry :)

    But if this behavior is "by-design" in keepass, you must have only one entry for one site or window.
    And after that, if you change your password, you have to change it on any entry, you have established only for edge.

    Maybe there will be someone who could have a look on that mass ;)

    My suggestion would be to try KeePass 2.36 (released today), which contains a workaround for this Edge problem.

    Best regards,
    Dominik
