I wonder if anyone has ever had the same problem...

I got a bug report here:

I tracked it down and I found the problem on Mono. (Where exactly I don't know)

I tried to fill a bug on their bug tracker, but no luck so far.

Not sure if I'm missing something, but KeePass itself has the same issue.

To reproduce it is just:
File -> Open -> Open URL

Try this URL first:
https://www.cdiscount.com/favicon.ico

Then try this URL:
https://clients.cdiscount.com/favicon.ico

The first link will work, the second one will fail.
Sure it is not a proper database file, but it should be download as usual.

Maybe the issue is the mono version for debian? I don't know.

Anyone with the same problem?

It has been reported that Mono 4.8 fixes the problem [1].
