Is there a way for two people (husband and wife) to share a common KeePass database somewhere online, like Google Docs? Don't have Amazon S3, and one of the pair isn't technical.....

    TIA,
    Bob

The easiest way to share a KeePass database is to place a purely local working copy of the password database on each user's computer and use KeePass Synchronization to synchronize the working copy with a shared local copy of the database saved in a cloud storage directory e.g. on Google Drive (not Google Docs).

If you can't share a Google account then some alternate sharing possibilities are:

    1. Share an alternate cloud storage service e.g. DropBox or Microsoft OneDrive (easy)
    2. Share a network drive e.g. a shared drive on a home network and synchronize when connected.
    3. Share a flash drive and periodically synchronize each local working file with the copy on the flash drive.
    4. Use an alternate cloud storage system e.g WebDav, FTP (hardest)

Once you have manual synchronization working (e.g. via File>Synchronize>Synchronize with File... or Ctrl+R) you can automate the process with a Synchronization Trigger

Please note that wellread1's suggestion requires Keepass version 2. This does take a bit of setting up but once done it just works!

I personally use TeamDrive's free cloud service as I trust its security more than Google or Dropbox or Microsoft. Although the cloud copy is encrypted by KeePass whicheven cloud service you use the German based cloud provider,TeamDrive, encrypts the data with n additional encryption key that is unique to your community (people sharing the data) and cannot be decrypted by the cloud provider.

Or you can use a network share if both machines are in the same house. (oops, wellread already mentioned that.)

    cheers, Paul
