Hello. I used the old version of keypass 2 for about 5 years. Now I have changed the system and downloaded the new version 2.45 from the official site, with the installer. installed as usual downloaded from the official site https://keepass.info/.
I have a completely new system with proven build windows that I used before, this windows 8.
for some reason, at startup, the program starts about 40 seconds.
after an attempt to start, the tray icon appears, which then disappears, and then reappears after the program is fully launched.
after starting, the keepass process appears in the first seconds with about 6,000 kilobytes of RAM load, and 40 seconds after the window opens, it reaches 32 thousands kilobytes and program start work
it saves the password database quickly.
Why does the program run for so long? This used to be faster with an older version of the program.
I checked the build version 2.45 for virustotal.com, everything is fine there and this is the usual version of the keepass program
a completely clean new system, there is nothing at all.
earlier I used the same version of windows and the old version of keepass used on the same assembly of windows, but the new version of keypass starts about 40 seconds.
why is this happening?

Mine takes about 3 seconds to load and ask for a password. I don't have "check for updates" turned on.
Do you load a database when KeePass starts? Is that database on a network / cloud?
Do you have any plug-ins?
Are you saying KeePass uses 32MB of RAM when running? Mine uses about 20MB without a database open and 40 with.
cheers, Paul

This is the opening time without plugins and without a base.
he opens the base quickly.
40 seconds is the launch of the 2.45 version of keepass from official site window itself

standard system, 4 gb ram, conventional processor, hdd, the same assembly of windows 8 on which previously used the old version of keypass before
everything works good, the machine has enough resources to work.
for some reason this happens with the launch of keepass, why?

It is not clear from your original post whether you are using default KeePass settings or have reused older settings. Also, it is not clear whether you are reporting the time to open an empty workspace or receive a prompt for the database master key, or the time to fully open a database.
Try using a clean default configuration. While KeePass is closed (not running), rename the active keepass.config.xml file, and if you use one, the keepass.config.enforced.xml file. KeePass will recreate a default configuration when it is restarted. If you used the setup installer, the active keepass.config.xml is located at %APPADATA%\KeePass. If you use portable KeePass, it is in your KeePass program directory.
The time to start KeePass is probably best estimated as the time to open an empty workspace or display the Enter Master key dialog (if KeePass is configured to automatically open a database). Any time spent after that is related to decrypting the database, and loading and displaying it.
On my systems with that range from very recent to 10 years old (all on Windows 10), it takes very few seconds to start KeePass 2.45. However, opening and displaying a database is sensitive to database size and settings, and computer specs and performance. Especially review the database key transformation settings. The key trnaformations delay should be tested to verify it is about 1 second in 'File>Database settings...>Security(tab)>Key transformation(section)'.

I meant time to open an empty workspace or display the Enter Master key dialog, this is around a 40 seconds.
I deleted the old config file along this path %APPADATA%\KeePass, I created a new one.
I chose (do not check for updates). The speed of opening the dialog box for entering the key is the same, about 40 seconds.
Why is this happening? it is a completely clean system on which there is nothing.
after starting after 3-4 seconds, the keepass icon in the tray, and then disappears, and after 30-35 seconds the dialog box for opening the database starts.
The base opens quickly and the work itself is fast, but the dialog box starts about 40 seconds.
why is this happening?

I reinstalled it again in version 2.45.
before that, I used my installation path, now installed along the standard path.
it still starts the dialog after 40 seconds.
why is this happening?

What version of .NET? (Programs and Features > Turn Windows Features on or off, look for >NET Framework.) I only have 4.5 selected.
Try removing and reinstalling it.
cheers, Paul

I installed net framework 4.5 and the download speed of the dialog box became literally 2 seconds. that’s good.
tell please why without no framework opening the dialog window was so long?

Maybe you can describe your system (CPU, RAM, HDD/SSD) a bit. On which drive did you install Keepass?

Have you possibly changed your database security settings (encryption, iterations, memory, etc.)?

with framework 4.5 it launches in just a few seconds.
You'll have to ask Microsoft why their software is weird!
