Hello -- I was just trying to update my (gernerated) password at one of my websites and it has a new password and confirm password entry field

I was able to paste into the "new" field the generated password, but the "confirm" field did not let me paste into it -- is there a way around this?

Many Web sites restrict the ability to copy and paste as a misguided attempt to make their sign-in & sign-up pages "more secure". However, most of the time these sites don't restrict drag-and-drop actions as thoroughly (yet), so you might want to try that.

Other options for KeePass 2.x only are:

    • Create a Custom change password Auto-Type sequence via the entry's Auto-Type tab that uses the {NEWPASSWORD} placeholder. Note: The second {NEWPASSWORD} placeholder in the example sequence does not change the password again, it simply types the newly changed password into the web page confirmation box. If you prefer you can replace it with the {PASSWORD} placeholder. CAUTION: If you use TCATO make sure that you disable it before changing the password.
    • Install the KPEnhandedEntryView v1.x plugin.
You can Auto-Type the current password from the context menu available in the Enhanced Entry View Fields(tab). Change the password and repeat the Auto-Type into the web page new and confirm password dialogs.

Add a button to Auto-Type the password of the selected entry.
