I noticed earlier today that the unlock screen with the password prompt showed up without any intervention from my side.

I wasn't trying to login into a website or open the database. I am running 2.28 and ran scans with Norton and Malwarebytes and nothing showed up.

Has anyone else noticed this behavior? This is the first time I have noticed this on my computer.

    Thanks

Not seen any reports of this.
Did you press any of the hot keys? Ctrl Alt A or Ctrl Alt K.
Did you change the hot keys?

    cheers, Paul

Didn't press any of the hot keys or change the hot keys.

Did you Alt Tab the wrong number of times?

In the interim, I would enable "enter master key on secure desktop".

I don't think so - have been using the secure desktop for a while.

Thanks for the tips. I had also voted a while back on secure desktop option for changing and entering new passwords. Would be great if that could be incorporated in the next release.

    • Do you have any plugins installed? If so what?
    • Do you have a shorcut key defined in your KeePass shortcut?
    • Do you have a scheduled task that starts KeePass?

One further possibility for the record: KeeFox has a keyboard shortcut that can trigger this too (defaults to Ctrl-Shift-2).
