I use the drop-down taskbar at the bottom.
For many months till now when I use Keepass (latest version 2.39.1) taskbar doesn't reappear passing the mouse at the bottom of the window: to copy and paste username and password I need to reduce Keepass to icon and pass to the other software (usually Chrome). I tried to lock the taskbar, but the result is that after clicking on the icon of the other software nothing happens: Keepass window remains open and I can switch to Chrome only reducing it to icon.
Similarly, when I click on the url botton of Keepass (the "world") the browser opens the correct web page but I can't see it if a I don't reduce Keepass to icon: in the past Keepass was automatically minimized and I had immediate access to the correct web page.
This doesn't happen with portable version.
    Thank you.

Keepass window remains open and I can switch to Chrome only reducing it [KeePass] to icon.

I think you may have turned on the KeePass option "Always on Top". Make sure that "Always on Top" is not checked in View>Always on Top. A screenshot is attached.
