I was looking for the same thing, great tip above.
However, I'd like to add that you need to turn Off grouping under View > Grouping in Entry List, if you are looking for entries across the entire database, otherwise the sort will apply on a per group basis.

View > Configure Columns. Tick Attachments.
Place the cursor in the search box and press Enter.
Click on the Attachments column to sort.

how can i search the contents of attachments?
It is not possible to search the contents of all attachments. You must open and search each attachment individually.
