I am using KeePass 2.46 and have an entry in my KeePass database that matches every website I try to use my auto-type shortcut (CTRL+ALT+A, i.e. the default) with and I cannot figure out why. Consequently every single website I try to login to using the auto-type shortcut either defaults to this one particular (incorrect) entry, or gives me a popup window in which I must select between this one particular entry and the correct one.

The entry that is matching every website is only intended to be used to login to FOX's streaming service (https://www.fox.com/account/). The details from its entry in my KeePass DB are as follows:

    Title: FOX
    URL: https://www.fox.com/account/

Regarding the Auto-Type settings for the FOX entry, I have "Inherit default auto-type sequence from group" selected and a single entry in the "Use custom sequences for specific windows" section whose "Target Window" is "FOX Broadcasting Company | Full Episodes, Shows, Schedule — *"

What I have found is that if I change the title from "FOX" to "FOO", "FOG", "FOOX", or "FOZ", the problem goes away. Changing the title from "FOX" to "FOx" exhibits the same behavior.

Why is the above entry matching every single window when I use auto-type? Am I missing some rule about how KeePass matches auto-type entries to window titles and URL's?

    Are you using Firefox?

    If yes, I assume
    1. the window title contains "Firefox"
    2. Auto-Type option "An entry matches if its title is contained in the target window title" is active

      Thanks, that was the issue.
