To use an entry you should not open it. When open it can be edited and it is possible to inadvertently change something.
Right click to copy / perform Auto-Type.

Are you accessing the database from different user accounts?
Are you editing the same copy of the database?
Do you sometimes edit the database during the same hours?
It is usually preferable to share a database by making individual copies of the shared database. Each user edits and uses their individual copy of the database and uses KeePass database synchronization to keep both copies of the database up-to-date.
If this is your circumstance see the KeePass database synchronization documentation. A preferred configuration for synchronizing multiple databases is described in the figure shown in Synchronizing with Dropbox / other PC synchronization software. While this describes a trigger based synchronization scheme for a cloud based synchronization, the method can be implemented manually and can be modified for other database sharing configurations.

my collegue who I shared the KP Database with:
-can open the database
- can see the entries
-but when he double clicks the entry, this will not open.
What are we doing wrong?
Depending on where you double-click, different actions are performed. See
