I got this error and immediately assumed it was due to completely running out of storage space; I happened to run out on both the program and data storage drive of KeePass.
However, After freeing up at least 2GB on every drive, the error persisted. When other icons downloaded routinely,
I impulsively removed the forum subdomain from http://forums.androidcentral.com/, to read http://www.androidcentral.com/. This produced an instant correction and download. Not sure if their favico is out of standards, but it displays properly in FF46
(Thanks for one of my favorite plugins....really brings life and some fun to the process of collecting half a thousand passwords ;3)
