The best solution for me was to : 1 - produce each cahpter as a vob file, using the DVD rendering 2 - use 2ManDVD for the menu. So it seems this setup is rapid and efficient, if the dvd production is not the "goal' of kdenlive, a redirection to this little "how-to" should probably be added to the faq, and the "produce DVD" wizard be dropped.
