To which part of the display are you referring? I don't have files
with umlauts in their name. Could you attach a short text file with
an example name that I could use for testing?

I have checked this in 2.0.4, and I can reproduce the problem, but as far
as I know it is a lower-level problem: the filenames get passed correctly
all the way down to the QListViewItem, but it does not display the umlauts
correctly.
I will follow up on one more possibility, but otherwise will close this out as
cannot fix.
