Hi Dirk, Simply put pdf417encode into your path and KBarcode should find it. Unfortunately, I do not know if KBarcode will work together with recent version of pdf417encode, as I did not have time to really work on KBarcode for the last 2 or 3 years. This might also be the answer for your second question. libdmtx was not available when I started KBarcode and I did not have time to add any new barcode backends in the past. You might try to add support for it yourself easily though, if it can output images.
