Hi, I want to resume an old post from 2009 (see below) and have two questions: Question 1: How do I install the pdf417_enc barcode backend into kbarcode? I have read kbarcode-2.0.0.pdf, looked at http://sourceforge.net/projects/pdf417encode, downloaded the pdf417encode source, decompressed it and read its README but I don't know what to do now. Can somebody please point me in the right direction? Question 2: The DataMatrix symbology is - according to the kbarcode website - only available with the TBarcode backend, which is (beside the demo) not for free. Is this some kind of legal issue why there is no free kbarcode backend for DataMatrix or is it simply the only backend known to the developers that supports DataMatrix? The question arose to me because there is the GPL library libdmtx (http://sourceforge.net/projects/libdmtx) that can produce and scan DataMatrix. Thanks in advance.
