Hi everybody,

It has been a while since 32-bit support has been dropped. Version 21 was the last verion of AHRL to have 32-bit support, and it was released in November 2017. Version 22, released January 2019, was the first AHRL version to drop 32-bit support.

I get occasional requests to bring back 32-bit support. At this time, I have no intention of doing this work. These are the main reasons:

1) Ubuntu is the base for AHRL, and Ubuntu dropped 32-bit support in version 17.10.
2) The number of 32-bit downloads was on the order of 10% of all AHRL downloads.
3) I have no 32-bit computers on which I'd like to run AHRL - they're all much too old for my ham radio needs.
4) I had to do everything twice, once for 32-bit, and a second time for the 64-bit version. It was a lot of work for dimishing returns.

For the foreseeable future, I'm very happy to continue to create the 64-bit version of AHRL, and probably the 128-bit version when the time comes. :-)

Have a lot of fun, and 73,

Andy
