Hello,

When attempting to connect to my radio via FTDI USB comm port adapter, I get a error message "Error communicating with radio - Error sending data to radio."

The correct device drive appears to be loaded, i have removed 'brltty, and I am listed in the dialout group.

CHIRP works great in the previous version, so I am dual-booting this box as a work around - but that gets awkward...

any advice will be greatly appreciated!

UPDATE

I have discovered that the version of CHIRP loaded by the package manager is, well, about 2 years old, 20200227 vice current version of 20220703, and I cannot find "chirp-daily" in the list of packages.

Another UPDATE

Ok. I found out how to to the flatpak install. I ended up going into Synaptic Package Manager and REMOVING CHIRP, then downloading and installing the flatpak directly from https://trac.chirp.danplanet.com/chirp_daily/LATEST/. That corrected the initial problem - not being able to connect to my HT via the USB-serial adapter.
