First off I would thank KB1OIQ for a fantastic compilation of just about every bit of OSS an amateur radio enthusiast would desire but spend countless hours attempting to get installed and functional.
I was wondering if you had considered changing the focus of this project to capture the construction of the LiveCD in to an automation system. Using a combination of Openstack or OpenNebula and Chef or Puppet, you could maintain all the configuration needed to construct the LiveCD from bare OS and modularize all the installed software. This would ensure that every step needed to construct the LiveCD is captured in source control (and knowledge not lost) and would allow broader collaboration with the OSS community. LiveCD quality and supported software would derive from best of breed software installation recipes. It would also make maintaining compatibility with different Linux distributions and versions easier to maintain.
The amateur operator would still just download the published LiveCD and not worry about the source control project. Just some food for thought.
Sincerely,
KF5UFH

Thanks for your kind words regarding "Andy's Ham Radio Linux". I am planning the next version for late July or early August, and it will be based on Ubuntu 14.04.
I am not familiar with Openstack or OpenNebula, the projects which you mentioned. Let me read more about them.
73,
Andy
