In the default XFCE WM, it is difficult to grab the handle of the edges of windows to resize them. Please consider changing the XFCE configuration to increase the grip size.
I am aware of ALT+DRAG_RIGHT_CLICK, but the issue seems to be with the XFCE theme.
Answer here has a solution https://unix.stackexchange.com/a/364531
Please distribute a default theme or user configuration that increases the width of the resize handles.
GtkWindow::resize-grip-height
GtkWindow::resize-grip-width
The configuration of one's windowing environment is a rather personal thing. I'm sure that 10 people would have 10 different opinions on the subject. What I'd rather do is put a link in the RELEASE_NOTES indicating how one could make such a change, and then leave up to the user.

I won't argue with you because I agree; a width of 3 pixels is better than 1 and won't get in the way of anything, they don't need to be super wide, just large enough to grab on to. Feel free to close/wontfix/whatever you like Andy.
If one picks a different theme, the edge width of the window might change.
Try: Settings -> Window Manager and pick a different theme.
Since this is a fairly personal choice, I'm not going to bake anything into AHRL to specifically address this.
