the fullscreen slideshow mode generates 100% cpu load although the actual rendering of the slideshow obviously would require only a small fraction of that time. the windowed slideshow modes are not affected.
questions: does this depend on hardware? OS configuration? other installed software?

update: a workaround has been posted to subversion (rev 116), it will be available with release 3.4.2.
the workaround is for the most common situation where the slide show window hides the collection window.
