Kaffeine 0.5-rc1 was just released. Whats new?

The GUI was completely redesigned, a lot of code rewritten. Kaffeine is now=
 a=20
single window application and comes with the common KDE look&feel,  like=20
configurable toolbars, statusbar, etc. Player, playlist and the new start=20
window are embedded as tabs. The shell application is able to use different=
=20
player parts (plugins), based on different engines. Currently only the=20
kaffeine-part, based on xine, is fully supported, but you could also use th=
e=20
kplayer-part (mplayer) or kaboodle (arts) for playback. More player parts m=
ay=20
follow in the future.=20

New Features:

=2D Playlist: Artist, Album and Track column added. A list-box in the toolb=
ar=20
makes it possible to switch fast to another playlist. Remembers last played=
=20
track. New queue mode: Select =E2=80=9CPlay next=E2=80=9D from playlist con=
text menu to add a=20
track to the queue. After queue is empty, normal playback will be continued.
=2D New start window provides fast access to most important media sources.
=2D Network transparency: If given protocol is not supported by xine, the s=
ource=20
will be downloaded via KIO system.
=2D New player features: jump to time, mute, fast forward, slow motion
=2D Support for xine's audio post-filters. With xine-lib >=3D 1.0rc6a you c=

now the upmix plugin and the really cool stretch plugin.
=2D ASX import improved, rudimentary support for SMIL added.
=2D Use mouse wheel over system tray icon to skip to next/previous track.
=2D File dialog have now default filters for all common formats.
=2D Error dialog shows xine log as details.
=2D Fullscreen: double click switches to full screen, and middle click make=

toolbars visible.
=2D Improved install wizard dialog checks the installation (xine-lib, DMA m=

=2D Screenshots from anamorphic streams have an correct aspect ratio now.
=2D Distortion removed if user drags volume slider over 50%.
=2D URLs are passed to player without encoding. That fixes problems with th=
e VCD=20
plugin, special characters like '?' and '@' and password protected hosts.
=2D Made fullscreen mode working with fluxbox window manager.
=2D Font encoding of post-filter help dialog is correct now.
=2D Disabled KDE session management. Made a lot of problems.
