Can they supply you with a snapshot of the VM to be archived? Also if it is not already on archive.org the site (wiki) should be submitted. Github sounds like a good idea, except Microsoft own it and an ex microsoft employee was responsible for that completely corrupt deletion of the K-3D page on wikipedia. Ultimately it is up to you, you've put in the bulk of the work for a long time now so you "own" the project.
