When I run K-Yamo it scans the Music directory in my home directory, as it should, and appears to find all the songs there. And displays the hierarchy of folders. However if I attempt to select the top level folder in it's leftmost pane, K-Yamo immediately exits without any error message.
I have about 6 GIG of music files so I don't have an outrageously large music collection.
Version: 0.40a4 (from Ubuntu repository)

If I run kyamo from the command line, it does write the following to sysout before it exits:
    KCrash: Application 'kyamo' crashing...
    Could not find 'drkonqi' executable.
KCrash cannot reach kdeinit, launching directly.

Actually, I guess it might be useful to provide ALL the sysout output when I run kyamo from the command line and then see it crash as I described:

    kbuildsycoca running...
    Reusing existing ksycoca
    DCOP Cleaning up dead connections.
mplayer :/usr/bin/mplayerQLayout "unnamed" added to QVBox "unnamed", which already has a layout
QLayout "unnamed" added to QVBox "unnamed", which already has a layout
QLayout "unnamed" added to QVBox "unnamed", which already has a layout
    QObject::connect: Cannot connect settingsmaindialog::databasechangesignal() to (null)::databasechangeslot()
    progresswindow destructor
TagLib: MPEG::Header::parse() -- Invalid sample rate.
TagLib: MPEG::Properties::read() -- Page headers were invalid.
    KCrash: Application 'kyamo' crashing...
    Could not find 'drkonqi' executable.
KCrash cannot reach kdeinit, launching directly.
