Unluckily, given Microsoft's goals with .NET and C#, I suspect IE will
always stick with Java 1.1.  (What better way to limit Java's acceptance
rate?)

Needless to say, any possibility of using conditional compilation?  (I use
CPP in my Java project for such a thing, any preprocessor would do.)
