We're there ... Jython 2.7.2b2 is at long last live. (There never was a 
public 2.7.2b1.) Find it here:

As I write, these are not yet showing on 
https://search.maven.org/search?q=g:org.python but I assume it will 
catch up eventually. Maven and Gradle builds on my local machine already 
download jython-slim named as a dependency.

Heartfelt thanks go to all who've contributed to this release. Now let's 
find out what the users make of it.

could you do the bits only you know how, please? On the bug-tracker can 
you make it possible to raise bugs against 2.7.1 and 2.7.2, and to have 
milestones 2.7.3 and 2.7.4 ?
