I found the same problem. It has to due with the length of time the program
takes to find other peers, which makes it seem like it is not responding or
finding people.

If you enable mutlicasting by editing the PlatformConfig withn the .jxtaim folder,
removing the text  <MultiCastOFF> and saving the program will find peers much
quicker.
