Hello,

after the really long long time it took NetBeans to move to apache, it seems they are "back in business" now, with regular releases, and 11.2 finally supporting wildfly again.

But jvi is missing !
Actually, the old plugin still works when manually installed !

So what is missing to get jvi (or the jvi netbeans update center we had before) back into the new apache netbeans plugin portal ? Maybe a relicensing is needed in order to comply with the strict "apache way" ?

Thanks for considering
Cheers Tom.

    Hi Tom,

I am very glad to hear that jVi works "as is" in Apache NetBeans. It's been several year since I have used jVi or NetBeans. I'll check in with the NB team on Apache. I'd like to get it as a plugin. And see about getting it into contrib so the source is in the NB reporitory structure. I don't want to learn git, I hope hg-git works with the NB repositories.

Tom, did you install from the zip file? If notplease be more specific about what you did.

The jVi update center is now available through the plugin manager. I've even tried it. There's still plenty to do the get things under the apache umbrella...
