Matt, Anonymous pserver CVS access to SourceForge is absolutely terrible. Committers get CVS/SSH access, which is reasonably fast, so the people to whom SourceForge is most likely to listen are least likely to complain. I actually ended up setting up a daemon that tried to update every hour, so that when I sat down to develop, there was a good chance that I had an up-to-date version. Of course, this just contributed to everyone else's traffic, so there's probably a better solution somewhere.
