Category: None Group: None >Status: Closed Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Jochen Hiller (jhiller) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Description does not allow access to metadata via reflection Initial Comment: During implementation of filter and sorter (based on annotations), I recognized, that Description (part of the callbach for filter/sorter) does NOT allow to access the tested method via reflection. This makes it nearly impossible to lookup own annotations for a given test method. A hack is to parse string presentation of description, whichs allow to extract test class and test method, but this is a very ugly solution. Please, rethink design of Description, whether there could be access to test method including reflection access. At minimum when aDescription.isTest(), probably not for suites.
