#78 preferences dialog is system modal

It stays on top of every window, in every application, which is perhaps just rude.

But it even goes in front of the window that pops up under
Preferences>>General>>Dowload podcasts into this folder>>Browse, so that it isn't actually possible for me to use the dialog, I had to kill juice from the cmd line! This is on OS X 10.3.9.
