#140 Feature Suggestion: Feed Barf Detection
Here's a suggestion for a new feature that I would find VERY useful:
Feed Barf Detection.
A "Feed Barf" is when a feed suddenly decides that ALL of its contents are new, and that the podcatcher should download ALL of them.
This happens when a podcast switches its RSS feed, such as to Feedburner.
I'd like to be able to set a threshhold that would cause Juice to react in some useful way OTHER than merrily downloading the entire archives of a podcast. It could:
1> Present a warning message with a "Continue?" option
2> Download only the most recent items, and flag the rest as "Overflowed" or something like that. The overflowed items could be clicked over to download if the user actually wants to get the items.
Feed Barf Detection should probably be turned off for brand new podcasts.
