#16 cvs repo is out of date

I have experienced several bugs and problems and spent
some of my time working on the latest version from CVS.
Finally I figured out that this version is about three
years out of date.

Please remove the CVS repo, or at least put a note
warning people not to use it. Or bring it up to date.
Or give me admin access or CVS commit privs and I'll
do it.
