Actually this prompts a definitional question: for a triangulation to be valid must it use all hole vertices (other than co-linear ones) ? By the way, I've now modified the triangulate method to use CGAlgorithms.computeOrientation. It only required a trivial change to the stepping code and makes the whole program shorter and simpler.
