I'm using Maven 2 for builds. When deploying build artifacts, maven's wagon plugin uses jsch for ssh2 connections. I have the following issue that might be related to jsch since the originating caused by exception is coming from jsch. The scenario is user1 performs a build and deploy to our server. Maven/wagon uses jsch to scp the files through an ssh2 connection. Everything works fine. The files are set with 777 permissions. This is how I thought we'd work around this issue. Next, user2 performs a build and deploy. The connections are made to the servers and some files are read. When the first file is attempted to be uploaded, an exception occurs. The final part of the stacktrace indicates a permission error. Here is part of the stacktrace: [INFO] Trace org.apache.maven.lifecycle.LifecycleExecutionException: Error installing artifact's metadata: Error while deploying metadata: Error occured while deploying 'com/fxall/fxalladmin/fxalladmin-pom/maven-metadata.xml' to remote repository: sftp://ipaddress/opt/fxall/maven2/internal at org.apache.maven.lifecycle.DefaultLifecycleExecutor.executeGoals(Default LifecycleExecutor.java:556) =20 ...other misc stack trace info... =20 Caused by: syserr: Not owner, file: =09 /opt/fxall/maven2/internal/com/fxall/fxalladmin/fxalladmin-pom/maven-met adata.xml at com.jcraft.jsch.ChannelSftp.throwStatusError(UnknownSource) at com.jcraft.jsch.ChannelSftp._setStat(Unknown Source) at com.jcraft.jsch.ChannelSftp.chmod(Unknown Source) at org.apache.maven.wagon.providers.ssh.SftpWagon.put(SftpWagon.java:122) ... 23 more I've posted this to the maven list and logged an issue in their Jira, but I haven't gotten a response. I was wondering if this was a potential issue in jsch.=20 =20 Thanks... Frank Russo Senior Developer FX Alliance, LLC 900 Third Avenue, 3rd Floor New York, NY 10022 646.268.9949 =20 |
