#10 Urgent!! How I can measure the distance from airport of departure to actual point of the aircraft ?

Hello everyone,

In JSBSim how I can measure the distance from the airport of departure to my actual point ? I am trying to do Standard Departure and the headings are determined by a distance from DME (Distance Measurement Equipment), and the DME is located in the airport of departure.

Hi Mohammed,

This information is available in the property position/distance-from-start-mag-mt which gives precisely the distance from the the initial location of the aircraft in meters.
