Jon/Max,

The Cloud Cap Technologies folks put together a nice Win based editor/GUI
for AVL that can be downloaded here:

Kudos to CCT for using a GPL'd tool and actually abiding by the GPL (i.e. -
providing the source code that includes their mods).  Anyhow, the GUI was
useful to me while I unraveled the aero model for our UAV.  The PDF also
provides some useful info about using AVL in general.
