Just letting you know that the new Opera may have
broken JPSpan.

My implementation was working before in Opera 7.*, but
now fails in 8.0. I don't know what changed in their
javascript engine or how useful my report would be
without without the source code I used, but other people
might have the same error.

I have attached a screen shot of the error message.

My mistake, it didn't work at all in Opera. I guess it doesn't
    support the XmlHttpRequest object

Maybe you could use this :
    http://jibbering.com/2004/9/opera-xmlhttp-bug1.html

It's a very simple testcase for a xmlhttprequest bug in
opera (still here by the way); since it's very simple, you
can see the API and maybe adapt jpspan.

    Thanks :)
