In version 1.0.34, JPEGView added the ability to save jpg files with comments when the original, incoming jpg file had a comment. Thank you for adding that. However, comments longer than about 512 bytes are truncated. I have noticed that the jpg comment segment begins FF FE 02 04, then follows with the first 512 bytes of the comment, and concludes with a two byte suffix 04 00. The 02 04 makes sense as a length specification (0x204 = 516) and the comment is correctly read by other viewers. However, the comment is truncated. Also, I do not understand the reason for the 04 00 suffix. In addition, shorter, untruncated comments receive a suffix of 00 (the ASCII null). Is that really necessary when the comment length is specified at the beginning of the jpg segment? All other viewer programs I have seen supporting saving jpgs with comments do not add an ASCII null suffix.
Fixed in 1.0.35
