I have been using the Creative Labs EAX settings on my jOrgan theater organ setup for years and find them just perfect. My instrument, a 3/25 playing through an actual theater pipe organ console, is in an approximately 15' x' 18' room, and I wish to create a 'studio' or 'broadcast' organ sound which would be appropriate for the room if there were actual pipe chambers playing into it. I have the Creative Labs 5/RX soundcard in my computer. For the 'studio' sound, I use the Jazz Club setting in EAX with default original sound set to 0.0dB and Reverb effect set to -17.7 dB. This gives a very pleasant sound in the room and the illusion of chamber ambiance. My specs for the setup are home built computer with Intel i7 clocking at 3 gig, 16g RAM, various hard drives with OS as Win7. On Win7 I have successfully installed Portaudio, but have no need for jack or any other accessories. The EAX reverb to my ear sounds much smoother than the Fluidsynth versions. -- Sent from: http://jorgan.999862.n4.nabble.com/jOrgan-Sound-f4430723.html |
