We should provide the user with the ability to
analyse such things as weights, inputs , outputs in
real time or after training/running.
Showing the weights/inputs/outputs graphically at
particualr points in time could provide the user
with better and quicker network design solutions.
We should be able to attach various analysis
components to synapses , input ,output layers etc,
then be able to see in real time a graphical
representation of that data and possibly record the
network activity and animate it later.
This could probably be provided in Joone by close
integration with the data analysis tool VisAd found
at
http://www.ssec.wisc.edu/~billh/visad.html
VisAd is a very powerful open source data analysis
tool for Java. As well as 2D representation it also
optionally supports 3D.

We could consider also the possibility to use GNUPLOT as
plotting tool.
