Key strokes to change pages

According to the "Go" menu, the Apple key plus the arrow key
should scroll through the pages. It does not. Perhaps it is
something in my settings, but all the other Apple key strokes work,
and my arrow keys are working fine in every other instance. Also,
shouldn't you be able to scroll through the pages with just an arrow
key? I've used another viewer program, and it moved from page
to page with just the arrow key. Also, it had key stroke shortcuts
for first and last page, "home" and "end", respectively.

First, there is bug 1024731 (Keyboard shortcuts sometimes stop working), see <http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1024731&group_id=103788&atid=635943>.
Provided that the shortcuts work, "home" and "end" do what they are supposed to.
Concerning the Apple + arrow left/right: does it ever work? Does it work when you quit Jomic, restart it and freshly open a comic?
Concerning "use cursor to move pages": while it might be true that many comic viewers use the plain cursor keys to move between pages, most other applications use the cursor key to scroll (or move the cursor), for example web browsers and text editors. My main consideration was a system wide consistency, not a "comic viewer" wide one. You can use the space bar to go to the next page without a qualifier key such as command or alt.

Basically fixed in CVS and scheduled for 0.9.17. Nevertheless, the page up and down key will still not let you read the comic because they get assigned to one of the scroll bars. Work-around: use the space key or command-left and right instead, or restart the application. This issue continues in bug 1445957.
