Java OBDII Project / News: Recent posts

I just drew up a first draft of the work plan (browse the task manager to see it). It's pretty conservative, e.g. it's proposed with the assumption that I'm the only developer on the project. According to the schedule, a beta version would be released early December at the latest. The schedule will be updated as developers join the project, especially since some activities may overlap, e.g. "Tests-communication classes" and "Design-user interface". (For the next few weeks, I don't expect developers to jump in en masse: the project will keep a low profile until I have enough meat (i.e. design docs) to throw at them).... read more

Here's the first post for this project. Actually, I've been toying for a while with the idea of building an OBDII scan tool and in the follwing days I should clarify my objectives so that others could see the difference with similar efforts and maybe get involved. I'm currently working on the class hierarchy and a draft should be available in a couple of weeks...
