Folks,
I'm new to all this Napster stuff - just got the original Napster client working on Win98 a couple of days ago. Now I'm trying to use Jnap on HP-UX, behind a company firewall. It won't connect to the server... :( I think the Win32 Napster client CAN work with firewalls (I may be wrong!) - can Jnap? If not, is it planned to add firewall support later? BTW - Thanks, Mike, for your work on Jnap - I'll probably use it from home once I replace my Winmodem and can get on the net with Linux.... :)

SOCKS proxy support is the closest thing to firewall support that jnap has. You also want to change your port to 0 instead of 6699. To use a SOCKS proxy, just change the jnap.sh file to read:

Good luck!

Thanks for the reply, Mike. Don't know if we have a SOCKS proxy here - but I'll find out and try it if we do.
