>From a pair of threads in the NCE group, the topic of how to pass locos from one throttle to another came up. The NCE answer was their 'Assign Loco' command to pass all the settings from one throttle to another. But somebody also asked about passing locos from a JMRI throttle to a real throttle and back. Given how the JMRI throttle interacts with the NCE system, could that use the 'Assign Loco' command?? Or does all of the JMRI throttles 'sneak' into the command station and not look like real throttles as far as the command station is concerned?? I figured I'd ask first, then dive into the code if there are some clues to it being a possible. But since Digitrax also does some transferring of locos between throttles I suspect there may be something in JMRI to make that possible. But I also think there are enough differences that it may not work that way for NCE systems. -ken cameron Syracuse Model Railroad Club http://www.SyracuseModelRr.org/ CNY Model Railroad Club http://www.cnymrrc.com/ mailto: kca...@st... _Sept 11-14 2008 NMRA-NER Convention, Syracuse NY, http://empirejunction.org/home.html |
