Home grown or modified definitions should be kept in the decoders folder of your preference directory. Updating JMRI will not modify this directory and definitions here will take precedents over the one in the program folder. When the JMRI definition is added or modified you can then delete it from your preference folder and recreate the index.
What is the problem found in the 1957 definition and can you submit a patch?
