Summary: CML2 file with <crystal> and <atom@x3> hangs

Initial Comment:
A CML2 file with a <crystal> element and atoms with 
cartesian coordinates fails to read (or reads very 
slowly). Someties all atoms are shown superposed at 
the origin (? the coordinates are all transformed to 0?).
