Glad you solved it Harry Some times the browsers don't recognize files loaded from within JSmol and so clearing the browser cache is not enough. It happens sometimes with changes in JSmol versions, in my experience Dr. Angel Herráez Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Dept. of Systems Biology, University of Alcalá E-28805 Alcalá de Henares (Madrid), Spain ________________________________ De: Powell, Harry <har...@im...> Enviado: martes, 2 de septiembre de 2025 10:54 Para: jmo...@li... <jmo...@li...> Asunto: Re: [Jmol-users] No menu in JSMol window? Hi Angel, Mark, Pino Many thanks for the replies. I suspect that you looked at the page after I'd upgraded the source to use a recent JSMol (see my reply timed @17:29 on Friday) rather than one from 2014 (but I could be wrong). The important thing for me now is that the menu does appear, so as far as I am concerned, the problem is solved (for the moment __) Caching would be a problem, but when I'm testing I do a forced reload every time I look at the page to eliminate caching - I need to see the page as a freshly landed user would. Thanks for the compliment on the site Mark - I learnt my design from a couple of ex-colleagues and their literature recommendations. Harry, I opened your page and the pop-up menu opens normally. (Firefox, Win11) Maybe something about cache, as Jaime suggested. When you work regularly on the same page, caching is often a problem during changes to the page. SInce for me it was a brand new page, no issues.
